We love The Great American Ice Cream Challenge! It has been so wonderful to see what amazing recipes you all create! Today our featured recipe comes to us from New York City, NY by Christina Briscoe.

This recipe cleverly features roasted strawberries!! Mmmm!!

“I have always enjoyed fresh homemade ice cream especially when it is made
with produce in it’s prime season. Strawberries are in season now and they
are packed with flavor. I chose to roast my strawberries because that
strengthens their natural flavor, which is sometimes washed out during the
ice cream churning process. Black pepper gives this ice cream a nice
earthy, summer after taste.”
