Today’s featured recipe submission comes to us from toasty Fort Myers, Florida. In fact, creator Arlene Mobley (author of Flour on My Face) said it is so hot that she had to wait until an overcast day in order to create her Toasted Coconut Ice Cream masterpiece!

“If you’ve ever attempted to eat a bowl of ice cream or an ice pop in temps over 90 you know it starts to melt immediately.
I picked an overcast day to take the pictures for this post so I had a little more time. This recipe turned out so good. Every time I make a batch of homemade ice cream I think I have found my favorite flavor. I’ve come to the conclusion there is no bad homemade ice cream out there.”
