Camping trips require some tasty recipes for the journey! Here we’ve collected a few that we thought would be fun to make for big trips with friends and family. Some will require prepping ahead of time while others you can make while on the road and outdoors.
Salted Caramel S’mores Tart
A twist on your regular s’more. This tart contains a graham cracker crust with delicious layers of salted caramel, chocolate pudding, and homemade marshmallows. This is definitely a prep recipe so ensure to create all the components at home to take with you on the trip or make the tart at home to take with you. If you do keep everything separated to build later, ensure to pipe the marshmallow frosting on as it’s easier cleanup.
Campfire Vanilla-Orange Cake
A unique and citrusy recipe that can be baked on the grill or a campfire! What’s really cool is that the orange peel becomes the mold for the cake to bake in. These vanilla cakes are soft and moist with hints of orange flavor!
Salted Brownie Cookies
Feeling like you want a cookie but also at the same time, a brownie? With this recipe you can get the best of both worlds! It’s crispy and chewy on the outside and tender on the inside like a brownie but in a cookie form. Finish these off by adding some flaky sea salt. We almost forgot to mention that they’re gluten free too!
Grilled Vanilla Apple Skillet Cake
Another dessert recipe that can be baked on the grill! It’s like an apple pie but in skillet form. Perfectly sweet with a bit of tartness from the granny smith apples. It would be pretty cool to wake up in the morning to the smell of cinnamon, vanilla, and apples – yum!
Decadent Hot Cocoa
Cooler nights call for a nice cozy campfire, comfy blanket, and some homemade hot cocoa! You can always use our Rodelle Dutch Gourmet or Rodelle Organic Cocoa for hot cocoa or our Rodelle Hot Cocoa Mix. If you’re looking for a more ‘grown up’ version, our Boozy Hot Cocoa is a good option too! You can add whichever spirit you’d like but we recommend the crème de menthe to give it that minty flavor.
Grilled Salmon, Potato, and Tomato Kebabs
These are easy peasy to prep, put on the grill, and even clean up. If you don’t catch any salmon, any other fresh fish will work! Definitely a summery savory meal worth trying on the grill!
4 Ingredient Banana Pancakes
You most likely have all 4 ingredients already for these healthy gluten free pancakes! Easy and quick to make, a go to recipe for us when camping or needing a quick breakfast. If anyone in your family has a nut allergy – removing the peanut butter and add another banana to the recipe will work! If you’re wanting some chocolate pancakes, add a small scoop of Rodelle cocoa or maybe some chocolate chips!
Vanilla Bean Butter
Really great on bread rolls, waffles, pancakes, anything that you want an extra bit of sweetness. It makes regular butter a bit more fun!
Vanilla Moscow Mule
A very refreshing summery adult beverages that’s worth sipping on while hanging in the great outdoors! A fun social drink with friends too.
White Vanilla Sangria
A sweet tangy vanilla cocktail. It’s simple, refreshing, and great for any occasion. We think this would be a great inclusion for camping drinks.
