In an article on WEB MD, their analysis of 21 studies with 2,575 participants shows that cocoa consumption is associated with decreased blood pressure, improved blood vessel health, and improvement in cholesterol levels, among other benefits!

Cocoa is rich in flavonoids, which is an antioxidant that helps to prevent heart disease. Flavonoids are generally found in fruits, vegetables, teas, wine, and now cocoa! It has also been proven that continuous flavonoid intake decreases cholesterol, improves blood vessel health, and reduces the risk of diabetes while regulating blood-sugar levels!
