I was experimenting with making homemade pizza and wasn’t used to the extra time required with yeast baking. I patiently waited thru the proofing time, rolled it out etc, and I was so excited about my first “serious” baking project, but, more importantly, I was HUNGRY at this point. So were my friends in the next room over! The timer went off, and I jumped to the oven door. As I opened the door, the heat and delicious aroma of fresh baked bread and cheese hit my senses and as I bent down to pull it out, (with my friends patiently watching), a long trail of drool escaped from my mouth right onto my beautiful pizza pie. Everyone, including me, cried in disgust! Luckily, these were close friends, and the pie was still eaten!
