Ingredients
Filling
- 6 cups peeled, cored, and sliced apples
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp Rodelle Vanilla Extract
Topping
- 5 tbsp cold, unsalted butter, cut into bits
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 Rodelle Vanilla Bean, split and scraped
- Dash of salt

Filling
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly butter an 8-inch square, or 9-inch round baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, toss the apple slices with cinnamon, lemon juice, brown sugar and Rodelle Vanilla Extract.
- Spread into the buttered pan.
Topping
- Combine all of the topping ingredients into a food processor.
- Pulse a few times, then process for a few seconds until everything is well incorporated, but not uniform.
- Crumble the topping over the apples and bake until the topping is browned and the apples are tender and bubbling, about 30-40 minutes.
- Serve hot, warm, or at room temperature.
