Get ready for this Super Bowl and other fun parties this year by cooking up some delicious homemade Cuban barbecue wings! These are the deep fried kind. They have a citrus, garlic, and peppery flavor to them and have the perfect chicken wing texture – crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside! The Mojo sauce to dip the wings in is tangy and refreshing and compliments this appetizer. Your friends and family will be asking for these ever year!

Ingredients
Wings
- 1lb chicken wings
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons Rodelle Cuban BBQ Seasoning + more for sprinkling
- 6 cups neutral oil – for cooking
Mojo:
- Juice of 1 orange
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1 jalapeno, split lengthwise (remove stem and seeds for a less spicy dipping sauce)
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon Rodelle Cuban BBQ Seasoning

Wings:
- Pour oil into a large heavy bottomed pot fitted with a thermometer. Heat oil up to 350F
- Place a cooling rack on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and set aside
- Whisk flour and cuban bbq in a medium sized bowl
- Toss wings into flour mixture one at a time, completely covering wings in mixture
- Once oil is heated up, place wings in oil 4-5 at a time for 5-8 minutes, or until the outside of the wings have turned golden brown. Maintain oil temperature at 350F
- After wings come out of the oil, sprinkle with extra cuban bbq seasoning
- Cook the rest of the wings in batches, setting cooked wings aside on cooling rack
- Create the mojo sauce while wings slightly cool
- Serve immediately with fresh mojo sauce
Mojo Sauce:
- Blend all ingredients in a blender until mostly smooth but still specked with herbs. Transfer sauce to a medium bowl.
