  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly butter an 8-inch square, or 9-inch round baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the apple slices with cinnamon, lemon juice, brown sugar and Rodelle Vanilla Extract.
  3. Spread into the buttered pan.
  1. Combine all of the topping ingredients into a food processor.
  2. Pulse a few times, then process for a few seconds until everything is well incorporated, but not uniform.
  3. Crumble the topping over the apples and bake until the topping is browned and the apples are tender and bubbling, about 30-40 minutes.
  4. Serve hot, warm, or at room temperature.


  • 6 cups peeled, cored, and sliced apples
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Rodelle Vanilla Extract


  • 5 tbsp cold, unsalted butter, cut into bits
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Rodelle Vanilla Bean, split and scraped
  • Dash of salt
