Rodelle Vanilla Day 5K

Now that summer is fully underway, we are excitedly planning for our 3rd Annual Vanilla Day 5K! Dan_Mayor_2016 The 3rd Annual Rodelle Vanilla Day 5K will take place on Saturday, September 23rd!

We are looking forward to a great morning run/walk in celebration of the world’s most popular flavor – vanilla!! If you haven’t followed along for the past few years, here is a little history on the event. We started the Vanilla Day 5K as a fun way to kick off the baking season of Fall and Winter. Because we’re based in Fort Collins, Colorado, one of the most active cities in the US, it seemed natural to combine a healthy outdoor activity with our love for baking. Since the event started, we’ve grown the number of families who join us with kiddos and strollers to start their day with a quick walk or run around south east Fort Collins. We’ve also had fun growing the post-race events! This year, the fabulous KD & The Painkillers will be performing before and after the run, back from 2016! This band definitely adds a lot of great energy and great fun to the event. With some help from several wonderful sponsors, our Vanilla Day 5K is more than your typical run/walk event – we’re able to add in a little extra vanilla love with breweries making special small-batch brews for the event, tastings of vanilla goodies for some fuel after the run and more.

If you’re in Colorado in September, we would love to have you join us for a morning of family-fun, bounce house time, vanilla treats and more! You’ll learn more about vanilla while having a good time! Like…did you know 85% of the world’s vanilla supply comes from Madagascar? The Vanilla Day 5k brings a little more awareness to that country and the hard work of our vanilla farmers. The most fulfilling part of the race for us at Rodelle is that all race proceeds benefit social programs for communities in the vanilla growing regions of Madagascar through the Rodelle Foundation.
